Democrats “doth protest too much” regarding Trump’s allegation re wiretapping

So President Trump alleged, in a Saturday morning Tweet on March 4th, 2017, that Obama and his Administration spied on him and his team during and after the November 8th, 2016 election while working at the Trump Tower in New York City.

Yet, after making those allegations, the U.S. liberal media (like CNN, the Washington Post and New York Times) and every Democrat or Democratic supporter who could get in front of a TV camera, ranted and raved all day Sunday and Monday that Trump was unhinged for making such an allegation.

That there was no proof. Yada yada yada.

The problem is that it has been some in the liberal media themselves who have written much of the proof that Trump and his team were recorded, obviously hoping they could delegitimize Mr. Trump’s win. However, it is obvious now they have been hoisted on their own petard because the proof is already out there for everyone to see if they do a Google search. And, I won’t give those sources any traffic by putting a link. Everyone knows which sources I am talking about.

Anyway, we all know that Mike Flynn, President Trump’s former National Security Advisor, was forced to resign. Why? Because he forgot he had discussed the sanctions when talking to the Russian Ambassador — and then misled the VP Mike Pence by saying he had not discussed that topic.

The key point is, how do we know what Mr. Flynn said if no one was electronically recording telephone conversations at the Trump tower? Because, remember, that is where Flynn made the call, was it not? Although, of course, the recording may have been at the Russian Ambassador’s end.

Either way, it is now public knowledge what Mr. Flynn said, word for word, in what was supposed to be a secure classified telephone call. Does that not point to someone in the Obama Administration? I mean, who else would have released that classified information?

And so, there’s the proof! No “what ifs” as one journalist said on CNN. Besides, releasing the content of the Flynn phone call to the Russian Ambassador was not an isolated incident. We also know what President Elect Trump said to such world leaders as the Prime Ministers of Australia and Taiwan. As with Flynn, how do we know that?

The crux of the matter is that there have been far too many classified leaks regarding President Elect and President Trump, and such advisors as Flynn, to deny the President’s allegation. As Shakespeare wrote in Hamlet, the Democrats and their media and pundit supporters “doth protest too much.

Published 1:13pm March 7, 2017.
Updated 9:10pm March 7, 2017 to add the sentence: “Although, of course, the recording may have been at the Russian Ambassador’s end.”
Further update March 17, 2017. Apparently the Flynn telephone call originated in the Dominican Republic — although the fact that his name and a transcript were released publicly doesn’t change the fact that the Trump transition team was under surveillance of some kind. In other words, someone in the U.S. justice or intelligence community wanted the public to know.

Hamilton cast insult to VP Elect Pence why voters fed up with “diversity”

On Friday night, November 18th, 2016, U.S. Vice-President Elect Mike Pence went to the Broadway play “Hamilton.” In spite of being a paying customer like everyone else, not only did he get booed by the audience, but preached to by the lead actor — Brandon Victor Dixon — from the stage at the end of the play. (H/T NewsWatchCanada).  See also this link with video.

Dixon’s message? “We, sir, we are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights….We truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf of all of us.”

Such arrogance! Pence goes out with some family members for a relaxing evening to watch a historical play and he is booed and trashed. Some tweets that I saw related to the matter said Pence had the abuse coming to him because he was a public figure.

Talk about dehumanizing someone — the very complaint liberals have against conservatives. Which makes me wonder what happened to the “love trumps hate” mantra?

Anyway, let’s look at Dixon’s statement. I interpret his “diverse America” phrase to refer only to people of color and minorities (including those in the U.S. illegally). Has it not occurred to Dixon et al that maybe all those whites out there in the interior of the U.S., particularly white males, you know like those who voted in droves for President Elect Donald J. Trump, don’t feel included?

We conservative Canadians understand liberal arrogance and the “we are the only ones who have the correct values.” Our current Liberal PM Justin Trudeau, who the mainstream media got elected a year ago after trashing former Conservative PM Stephen Harper day in and day out for ten years, travelled around the world after the October 2015 election telling anyone who would listen that “Canada is back.” Back? From where? What everyone knew, however, is that Trudeau meant the “Liberals were back.”

Anyway, my point to compare this U.S. electoral issue to a Canadian context is the similarity of the role of the media calling, implying or hinting that conservatives are not only nasty people, but racists, misogynists, homophobes, xenophobes, Islamophobes and bigots.

Not true, any of it, at least for most conservatives, and we are fed up with such negative stereotyping. I mean, when voters are beat up because they voted for Trump, they were afraid to put up a Trump election sign for fear of vandalism, or were afraid to even admit they supported Trump, it is the liberals who have a diversity problem, not conservatives.

In fact, in my opinion, the crux of the matter is that conservatives are actually more inclusive than liberals because to us, the concept of diversity actually encompasses everyone — including white males, college educated or not, and Christians.

Endnote: This is what tolerance sounds like — Pence responds that he wasn’t offended by Dixon’s message at Hamilton play.

U.S. liberal media destroying democracy with “Yellow Journalism”

New York Times Screenshot 1030It’s anti-Donald Trump versus pro-Hillary Clinton 24/7. As with the left-leaning media in the U.K. recently trying to affect the Brexit vote outcome, which they lost, the majority of the left/liberal media in the United States are involved in their own election campaign.

How? Through a type of sensationalized reportage called Yellow Journalism which was made famous in the late 19th century by New York City publishers Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst. It is reportage that exaggerates, is not too worried about the facts and tells only one side of a story.

Fast forward to 2016. The purpose for the liberal media’s yellow journalism now is to make sure Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton gets elected and, in so doing, making sure Republican candidate Donald Trump does not. In doing so, ridicule seems to be the main strategy.

Take for instance my featured image of a 1998 New York Times column on Yellow Journalism. Oh, the irony! On the left side is the 1998 column. On the right side are a running list of today’s headlines. The first is “Donald Trump’s Draft Deferments: Four for College, One for Bad Feet.” Another is “How the ‘Stupid Party’ Created Donald Trump.”

The underlying media message in that approach? Democracy be damned!

Yes, I am Canadian. But, living so close to the U.S. border in Niagara, and having so many American friends, I am very much tuned in to American politics. And, if not for such conservative news outlets as Fox and Breitbart, little would have been heard or read this side of the border. In fact, the CBC and the private networks tend to only report positive news about Clinton and negative news about Trump. And so it seems, Canadian networks want Clinton elected as well.

Anyway, my apologies for this post being long, but here are a few examples of left/liberal media group think and yellow journalism, both during and after the Republican (RNC) and Democratic Conventions (DNC).

(1) At the DNC Convention, most of Bernie Sanders’ supporters were outraged that he endorsed Clinton without so much as a complaint and the left/liberal media did not say or write much about their anger — compared to how they reported all disagreement expressed at the RNC Convention. Little was also said or written about the #DNCleaks and how the DNC had been doing their utmost during the entire primary season to sabotage Sanders.

(2) It was only after the close of the DNC Convention that I saw the video of the one minute of silence for the fallen police officers. During that minute, Black Lives Matter chants were heard in the background. BLM were also protesting outside the Convention but very little was said in the left/liberal media about those protests.

(3) At the DNC Convention Vice-President Joe Biden said it was a bunch of malarkey that Trump cared about working people. Like, who is he to judge? How does he know? Had Trump made a reverse charge, the liberal media would have been all over him to prove his statement.

(4) Then, there is the issue of honouring those who have died in the service of their country. First, Pat Smith, mother of the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens, who was murdered when Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State, spoke at the RNC Convention. I read nothing positive in the liberal media after her talk. In fact, it has been said that Clinton called Smith a liar. Can you imagine how the Democratic friendly media would react if Trump had called anyone a liar?

(5) However, when Khizr Khan and his wife, who lost their son (Army Captain Humayun Khan) in Iraq, criticized Donald Trump for wanting to limit Muslim immigration from certain countries, the media pounced on Trump with a vengeance and they treated the Khans with a reverence they did not give Smith.

In my opinion, the politicization of the younger Khan’s death was disrespectful to his memory as well as unnecessary. He died a hero in Iraq as a result of a car bomb being detonated by two suicide bombers — a horror for his parents certainly but totally unrelated to what Americans are experiencing in 2016. However, I believe Ray Starmann explains the current reality facing Americans today best in his open letter to Mr. Kahn (H/T NewsWatchCanada).

(6) Yet, when DNC pro-Clinton speakers said they would keep America safe, little was heard or read in the left/liberal media about how many, if not most, Americans do not feel safe right now, given how many Americans have died at the hands of Islamic extremists. For example, Americans not only died abroad during the past few years, but in San Bernardino, California, Orlando, Florida and Fort Hood, Texas as well. In other words, Americans know that Americans are dying at the hands of lone wolf Islamic extremists at home. However, it was like everyone who had anything to do with the DNC Convention was in denial of that reality — including and most especially President Obama.

(7) Then yesterday, the New York Post published nude photos of Trump’s wife, Melania, with the headline Ogle Office. (H/T Jack’s Newswatch) The underlying message? She is a tramp and unworthy to be the First Lady. Why such misogyny and sexism related only to Trump? What about Bill Clinton’s behaviour with women not his wife?

Of course, there is actually a solution to the current increase in Yellow Journalism in the U.S. It may be naive to suggest, but that media, both liberal and conservative, could report the news and facts on both candidates fairly, no matter how positive or negative those facts are. The result? American voters would be able to make informed decisions about who to vote for in November.

#DNCleaks show DNC rigged system by favouring Clinton over Sanders

DNC Wikileaks 1030The latest Wikileaks document drop involves more than 20,000 Democratic National Committee emails and files (Twitter hashtags #DNCleaks and #DNCleak). Lies, corruption, bias, blowback, collusion. Those are not my words. Those are the words that some in the online media are using to describe the truth of the leaks.

For example, here are a few sources that will provide readers with some idea of what those emails and files say — and it isn’t pretty (H/T NewsWatchCanada).

  1. Victor Smith at Regated writes about how the DNC is panicking because Wikileaks is exposing their lies and corruption;
  2. Daniel Halper & Joe Tacopino of the New York Post lays bare how the leaked emails demonstrate how biased DNC officials are for Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders;
  3. John Wagner of the Washington Post discusses how there is blowback from progressive groups regarding Timothy Kaine’s pick as VP; and
  4. Reuters highlights the collusion by DNC top officials re an anti-Sanders pro-Clinton bias.

Yes, I know, politics is not called a blood sport for nothing. But, there is nothing sporting about the anti-Sanders betrayal and subversion. Remember, the DNC is supposed to be a neutral organization.

However, over and above the anti-Sanders bias indicated in the #DNCleaks, in my opinion, the allegation of collusion between the DNC, Clinton and the media is the most damaging. I mean, what the leaks expose is the reality that an awful lot of professional mainstream journalists are quite willing to do the DNC’s partisan bidding.

And so, on the eve of the 2016 Democratic Convention, the question is: will Sanders, knowing how the DNC undermined him every step of the way, continue to endorse Hillary Clinton for President?

As well, will the super delegates chosen by the DNC continue to support Clinton knowing what we know now, including what the Chicago Tribune refers to as her contempt for the rule of law.

As a Canadian, I don’t have a horse in this race but I have many American friends who do. I like both Sanders and Trump because they both have a message that rings true, even though they are on opposite sides of the political spectrum.

However, no matter what messaging comes out of Hillary Clinton’s mouth at this week’s Democratic Convention, as a progressive Tory, I have a feeling the spin won’t matter because the leaks will have done their damage. And, speaking of damage, for those who would like to check out this first installment of the Wikileaks, they can click here.

The crux of the matter is that the #DNCleaks are going to result in Republican nominee Donald Trump winning in November. Why? Because, Americans are now going to realize the extent of the corruption on the left. Meaning, the 2016 U.S. presidential election is now a fight for the very soul of America.
